The Gap We Are Addressing

Why this Task Force exists

This global group of scientists, clinicians, industry partners, and patient advocates is focused on a critical gap in the field: the lack of an adequate framework to guide the development of new clinical trials for patients with relapsed Ewing sarcoma. Without such a framework, trials risk being sub-optimally designed, undermining the ability to effectively evaluate and advance promising new agents.
In June 2026, ESI hosted a two-day in-person convening of the Task Force to advance these discussions and arrive at formal global consensus. The outcomes will be submitted for publication as a manuscript to serve as a definitive resource guiding the standardization, design, and implementation of future clinical trials for Ewing sarcoma — helping to ensure that new agents are evaluated as effectively and efficiently as possible.
