Dear Ewing Sarcoma Institute Community,
As we close out 2025, we’re thrilled to share the remarkable progress we’ve made in our inaugural year. What began as a vision has transformed into a robust organization with growing global reach and deepening impact in the Ewing sarcoma community.
Uniting our Global Network
On July 1, we officially launched ESI and our website at the Euro Ewing Consortium, introducing our mission to the international Ewing sarcoma community. The response has been extraordinary: our website has welcomed over 5,500 visitors from 49 countries, and our social media presence has grown to include hundreds of followers. This global engagement reflects the urgent need for an organization like ESI and the enthusiasm of our community.
Building Partnerships
This year, we’ve established ESI as a trusted voice in the Ewing sarcoma field through presentations and partnerships at major conferences including the Children’s Oncology Group and Euro Ewing Consortium. We’ve also forged relationships with leading organizations interested in collaborating on pediatric strategy forums, patient registries, and data collection and analysis—including Accelerate and LifeArc, among others.
We’ve connected with more than 30 foundations focused on Ewing sarcoma and pediatric cancer, including Alex’s Lemonade Stand, Bone Cancer Research Trust, and St. Baldrick’s Foundation. These conversations are laying the groundwork for meaningful collaboration and partnership.
Listening to Those Who Matter Most
At the heart of our work are the patients and families affected by Ewing sarcoma. This year, we’ve met with more than 40 Ewing sarcoma patients and families, listening to their experiences, understanding their needs, and ensuring their voices shape our strategic direction. Their insights are invaluable as we design programs and initiatives.
Born from the hearts of families who’ve faced Ewing sarcoma head-on, our newly founded Ewing Families Research Fund stands as a beacon of hope—and a gathering place for change. We’re building a community united by purpose, where families, researchers, and advocates come together to transform the future for patients living with this diagnosis. Whether honoring a loved one, supporting someone in treatment, or carrying forward a legacy, every dollar raised serves a single, powerful purpose: supporting groundbreaking research that will rewrite the Ewing sarcoma story.
Strengthening Our Infrastructure
We’ve organized ESI into five strategic committees, expanding our team with 11 additional committee members who bring specialized expertise to our work. Each committee has assembled its own global network of experts, creating a powerful infrastructure for driving change.
Innovating for the Future
We’re developing an AI-driven Ewing sarcoma research database that will help researchers access and analyze critical information more efficiently. This innovative tool represents our commitment to leveraging technology to accelerate progress in understanding and treating Ewing sarcoma.
Looking Ahead to Year One
With infrastructure in place, community engaged, and partnerships established, we’re now preparing to launch our Year One Strategic Priorities in early 2026. Our committees have been hard at work developing actionable plans that will translate our mission into measurable results.
Gratitude and Momentum
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our board members, committee experts, patient advocates, and supporters. Your belief in ESI’s mission has been the driving force behind every milestone we’ve achieved.
As we enter 2026, we do so with a growing global community, partnerships rooted in shared vision and mutual commitment, and a roadmap for impact. The foundation has been laid—now it’s time to build.
Help us carry this momentum into 2026. Your year-end gift to the Ewing Sarcoma Institute ensures that the progress we’ve begun continues to accelerate. Whether you give in honor of a loved one, in celebration of a survivor, or in memory of someone deeply missed, your contribution becomes part of their legacy—and part of the solution.
Here’s to a year of meaningful progress ahead—progress made possible by supporters like you.
With gratitude,
The Ewing Sarcoma Institute Team
