Her laboratory is focused on understanding the intersection of DNA damage and immunobiology in Ewing sarcoma. The Bailey laboratory developed a humanized mouse model of Ewing sarcoma to study immune cell and Ewing tumor cell interactions in vivo. The Bailey laboratory’s translational work includes understanding Ewing sarcoma therapeutic vulnerabilities, specifically immunotherapy targets, during radiation therapy. Nationally, Dr. Bailey holds leadership roles within the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), including leading the COG Ewing Sarcoma Biology Committee calls and as a disease (Ewing sarcoma) leader for the CCDI Molecular Characterization Initiative.
